Open Studios 2023

2023-09-13

Artists from Szczecin will once again widely open the doors of their studios! Starting from this coming Friday, residents and tourists will have the opportunity to meet artists, observe them at work, and discover the secrets of individual workshops.

The program of the upcoming edition of the project titled „Open Studios” is filled to the brim. This year, over 160 creators and artists working in Szczecin have been involved in this exceptional project! There will be plenty of diverse activities, presentations, unusual meetings, and workshops awaiting those interested. Without a doubt, both photography enthusiasts, sculptors, painters, and graphic artists will find something for themselves.

This year, events organized as part of the project will start on September 22nd and will last until September 30th, 2023. Detailed information regarding individual activities organized within the projects can be found on the website www.facebook.com/Pracownie.Szczecin/events.

We particularly recommend the events inaugurating this year’s edition of the event. On September 22nd, at 5:00 PM, in the garden of the C. Brancusi State High School of Fine Arts in Szczecin (at 1 Kurkowa Street), there will be, among other things, the unveiling of a sculptural installation titled „Wolf’s Pipes” by Professor Ryszard Wilk – one of the oldest alumni of the institution. Additionally, at this location, there will be a meeting with the participation of creators and organizers of individual events, as well as a presentation of the program.

The event has been granted Cultural Patronage by the City of Szczecin.

The project is co-financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants from the Regional Fund, under the Active Citizens program, as part of the ‘AcTYve Creative – Stimulating the Spirit of Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship’ project. Together, we work towards a green, competitive, and socially inclusive Europe.
